Phoenix, Ariz. – KITCO Fiber Optics participated in the annual Department of War Maintenance Symposium in support of the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC) Program, reinforcing its commitment to Army readiness and lifecycle sustainment.

As part of the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) exhibition, KITCO’s fiber optic cleaning kits were demonstrated to active-duty service members and industry partners such as John Baron, PHS Transportation Branch Chief, highlighting their role in preventing contamination, mitigating corrosion-related degradation, and extending the service life of mission-critical communications systems.

During the symposium, CPC leadership engaged with Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Sustainment Dr. Theresa Smith and Corrosion Control Program Executive Courtney Guasti, securing full senior-level support for the program. Dr. Smith emphasized the importance of addressing Army corrosion as a readiness priority and offered to assist in marketing the KITCO cleaning kits to help build demand, increase readiness impact, and reduce lifecycle costs.

Following the event, the ILSC CPC team conducted a follow-on meeting with other Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs) to align on timelines and coordinate upcoming joint mission dates—further strengthening collaboration and expanding the reach of corrosion prevention initiatives across priority operational theaters.

Through continued partnership with CECOM’s CPC program, KITCO remains aligned with Army sustainment objectives, delivering practical, field-ready solutions that directly enhance operational readiness and cost efficiency.
